The Founder
Behind the

Sales Department System

The moment
the
system became visible.

There are moments that quietly change the direction of your life.
For me, one of those moments happened in a parking lot.I had just arrived at one of my son's football games when my phone rang.
It was a prospective client.
The kind of call every entrepreneur hopes to receive.
A call that could turn into thousands of dollars in revenue.
I looked toward the football field.
Then I looked back at my phone.
And I realized something I had never admitted to myself before.
My business depended on me.
If I didn't answer...
Revenue stopped.
So I took the call.
I walked into the stadium a few minutes later, but mentally I wasn't there.
Instead, I kept asking myself one question.
What happens if I stop selling?
The answer was immediate.
Everything stops.
That moment became the beginning of an obsession.
Not with becoming a better salesperson.
But with building businesses that could consistently create revenue without depending on the founder.
Years later, that obsession became what is now known as the Sales Department System.

I Didn't Set Out to Build a Methodology

Working harder is not the same as building a business.

I simply wanted to build a business that gave me the freedom I imagined entrepreneurship would provide.
Instead...
I found myself wearing every hat.

  • Marketing.

  • Sales.

  • Customer service.

  • Operations.

  • Accounting.

  • Technology.

  • Leadership.

If something needed to be done...
I did it.
From the outside, it looked like I owned a business.
From the inside...
I had simply created another job.
That season taught me one of the most important lessons of my life.
Working harder is not the same as building a business.

Businesses become valuable when systems replace dependency.

The Lesson That Changed Everything

$5,000

The moment knowledge became teachable.

One afternoon I left my office for lunch.
Nothing special.
Just tomato soup and a chicken sandwich.
When I returned, my assistant, Cassandra, handed me an order form.
Five thousand dollars.
While I was gone...
She had answered a prospect's questions.
Explained what we did.
And closed the sale.
I'll never forget what she said.

"Che, I didn't sell them anything. I just had the same conversation I've heard you have hundreds of times."

That afternoon changed the way I thought about business forever.
For the first time...
Revenue was created while I wasn't there.
That wasn't just a sale.
It was proof.

Proof that businesses become stronger when knowledge becomes teachable and systems become repeatable.

More Than Twenty Years of Discovery

Different businesses.
The same bottleneck.

Over the past two decades, I've worked alongside entrepreneurs, CEOs, coaches, consultants, speakers, service-based businesses, and organizational leaders across numerous industries.
Although their businesses looked different...
Their challenge was almost always the same.
Revenue depended on the founder.

  • The founder generated the leads.

  • Ran the appointments.

  • Answered the difficult questions.

  • Closed the sales.

  • Made the decisions.

  • Solved the problems.

Different businesses.
The same bottleneck.
Over time I realized I wasn't seeing isolated business problems.
I was seeing patterns.
Those patterns eventually became the Ten Laws of the Sales Department System and the philosophy that now guides everything I teach.

My Philosophy

I don't believe founders should spend their lives becoming better at carrying the business.

I believe they should spend their lives building businesses that no longer need to be carried.

I don't believe founders should spend their lives becoming better at carrying the business.
I believe they should spend their lives building businesses that no longer need to be carried.
I believe...
Businesses don't become valuable because founders become more valuable.
They become valuable because the business becomes less dependent on the founder.
That's the idea that drives every keynote I deliver.

  • Every company I advise.

  • Every CEO I coach.

  • Every sales department we build.

  • And every page you've read throughout this website.

Today

Today I serve as the Founder and CEO of CEO Sales Agency, where our team helps founder-led businesses build predictable revenue through complete sales department systems.
I'm also the creator of the Evergreen Revenue Model, host of the CEO Sales Huddle, producer of The Making of an Entrepreneur DocuSeries, and host of The Happy Entrepreneur Show.
Along the way, I was honored to be recognized by USA Today News as one of the Top 15 Entrepreneurs to Watch Across North America.
While I'm grateful for those accomplishments...
The recognition I'm most proud of isn't an award.
It's hearing a founder say,

"For the first time, my business doesn't depend entirely on me."

Not to help founders become better salespeople.
To help them become better builders.

  • Builders of systems.

  • Builders of leaders.

  • Builders of organizations.

  • Builders of businesses that create predictable revenue.

  • Builders of companies that continue creating value long after the founder steps away.

One Final Thought

If there's one idea I hope you remember after leaving this website, it's this:
Working harder doesn't build enterprise value.
Building systems does.
And if you're ready to build revenue that doesn't depend on you...
I'd be honored to help you take the next step.
